The Harper-Hart Correspondence 1956-1975 [manuscript] 1956-1975

The collection contains 53 letters exchanged by Dr. Andrew Hart of UVa Hospital and Dr. Richard Harper in Devon, England from 1956 to 1975. In addition to the letters between Dr. Hart and Dr. Harper, the collection includes three journal articles, a letter to the journal editor, preface to Harper's book, Evolutionary Origins of Disease, summary of an unknown book, box list, glossary, and letters between Andrew Hart and Peter Harper, son of Richard Harper.

Harper was born in Utah. He spent a few hears living in Germany with his family before moving back to Utah for middle and high school. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Germany. Harper earned an associate's degree from Utah Valley State College and then transferred to Brigham Young University.
